Electronics Recycling Processes

How We Work

Our process starts with testing and evaluating all equipment that we receive to determine whether it can be used for its original purpose. If reuse is not an option, all asset tags or property stickers are removed. The equipment is then de-manufactured for recycling.

To ensure donors are not open to liability, functioning equipment is cleaned, hard drives are wiped, and all drives are checked for media.

UNICOR ensures security and integrity through traceability. All hard drives are destroyed.

Turning Scrap into a Commodity

Non-functioning equipment is broken down into its component parts, which are then segregated and sold to re-processors. The resulting base materials are then sold to carefully screened buyers to be used in the manufacture of new products – thereby saving precious resources.
