Items Accepted for Electronics Recycling

There is so much to gain from recycling with UNICOR:

  • Federal agencies – Recycling electronics scrap and items helps federal agencies meet Executive Order 13693
  • Local governments – Through recycling, obsolete electronic items are kept out of landfills
  • Dealers – Stand to benefit financially through purchasing our reconditioned equipment and recycled materials

Electronics Items Accepted for Recycling

We Accept almost all Electronic Waste including: Medical Equipment, Test Equipment, IT Equipment and Lab Equipment.

Items NOT Accepted by UNICOR

  • Acids
  • Ammunition of any kind
  • CRT Monitors or Tube Televisions
  • Explosive Devices
  • Film, Photos, or X-Rays
  • Furniture or File Cabinets
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Locked items such as safes and/or cabinets
  • Magnetic Tapes of any kind
  • Needles, Medicine, Drugs, or Bodily Fluids
  • Non-Lethal Munitions and weapons
  • Oil- or PCB-containing Devices
  • Paints or Liquids of any kind
  • Radioactive Materials of any kind
  • Refrigerants
  • Solar panels
  • Vape devices
  • Weapons or mock-weapons of any kind

Items Accepted Only Under Special Circumstances

  • Batteries (Rechargeable and dry- and wet-cell batteries) are accepted ONLY when in devices (no loose batteries will be accepted)
  • Negatives - we will accept and securely destroy negatives ONLY for existing Federal Government Customers with Data Security Concerns
  • Floppy Disks - we will accept and securely destroy floppy disks ONLY for existing Federal Government Customers with Data Security Concerns

NOTE: Due to security concerns we are unable to accept drop-offs from private citizens.
