The UNICOR Electronics Group has been an important and long-time producer and distributor of wire harnesses for the military and OEMs. Our broad range of wire harnesses go from miniature wire subassemblies to the large, complex wire harnesses used in Cobra helicopters, fighter jets and Bradley vehicles. Many of these harnesses have hundreds of components and connectors that require precision soldering and crimping and must perform flawlessly under highly rugged conditions.
Our manufacturing process includes many specialized functions such as cutting and following cables to specific lengths, routing the proper insulators for wiring applications, connector placements, wire marking, shunting, welding, molding and soldering. Processes may vary from contract to contract and our flexibility and experience facilitates our ability to meet your needs.
Our wire harness and harness assembly manufacturing has traditionally been performed at the behest of our federal government customers, but legislative changes allow UNICOR to provide its manufacturing capabilities to private industry for repatriated manufacturing and manufacturing under the PIE program.
