Braiding Expertise Like No Other
UNICOR has an in-depth knowledge of virtually all wire types. These include single-conductor stranded, multi-conductor stranded, and multi-conductor shielded wire, as well as co-axial, fiber optic and radio-frequency cables, all in a multitude of gauges.
Our braiding expertise also includes braiding metallic, nylon and other textile materials in almost any twist configuration and length, incorporating RF, EMI and EMP shielding, insulation, jackets, connectors, and terminations. In addition, we have the unique capability to manufacture semi-rigid co-axial cables, which are used in radar, and radiofrequency and microwave communications.
Our braided wire and cable configurations have applications in diverse military, agency and commercial uses ranging from air, ground and sea combat equipment to radio kits, surveillance, and wireless communications.
Non-Metal Braiding
UNICOR produces two- and three-conductor non-metal sheathed cable with grounding and a soft, flexible jacket for use in indoor wiring. Each conductor is color coded and stamped according to the National Electrical Code for standard wiring in military and commercial buildings. It also has the latest insulation, sheathing and jacketing, and is available in different gauges and lengths.
Wire Braiding
Braiding multi-conductor stranded and multi-conductor shielded wire, co-axial, fiber optic and radio-frequency cables, are also part of our expertise, and are available in different lengths, gauges, and combinations of shielding (RF, EMI, EMP), sheathing and jacketing.
Much of our braid wire is manufactured to order to meet specific military, agency, and commercial applications. We can also equip braid wire with customized connectors and terminations to make installation faster and easier.
Also skillfully manufactured are semi-rigid co-axial cables, which require great precision and care to fit into bent tubing within equipment for radar, and radiofrequency and microwave communications.
